Marie Mae Unger

Marie Mae Unger "Granny Marie" passed away peacefully at her home in the early morning hours on December 15, 2021 at the age of 77. She was born August 4, 1944 in Small Valley/ Halifax Pennsylvania. Preceded in death by her parents Monroe Franklin and Pauline Mae Corsnitz and a new born baby sister. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Sandra (Baron) Blansit of Hixson, TN and David (Terri) Unger also of Hixson, TN. Her Grandchildren: Dustin Fritts,Dana (Scottie) Morris, Christine Fritts and Alex (Jessica) Unger. Great Grandchildren: Haley, Wesley, Katie, Jacob, Jasmine, Dylan, Breanna, Alexis, Evan. Sisters: Irene Zerembo, Lottie Shomper, and Dorothy Mace. Several special nieces and nephews. Granny Marie requested to be cremated and have her remains taken back home to Pennsylvania. Her family will travel there in the spring to lay her to rest. The family appreciates everyone's thoughts and prayers.
