Margaret Hassell

Margaret Jane "Peggy" Hassell, 74, of Athens, TN, passed away on December 10, 2025. She was born on November 29, 1951, to the late Noble and Olga Walker.

Peggy enjoyed traveling, visiting the beach, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a devoted member of Keith Memorial United Methodist Church and a graduate of Clayton State.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, John Hassell; and her parents, Noble & Olga Walker.

Peggy leaves behind her son, Greg and his wife Kara; her daughter, Meghan and her husband Logan; her brother, Paul Walker; her sister, Pam Boyd; and her cherished grandchildren Jalen, Jansen, John Beckett, and Mabry.

Peggy worked locally at Edward Jones for 18 years as a senior branch office administrator and, prior to that, with the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce. She will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and the joy she brought to those around her.
