Mable A. Ogburn

Obituary

Mable A Ogburn, 97, a resident of Ooltewah, TN, joined her daughter in heaven on July 17th, 2014.

Mable was born on the April 21st, 1917, in Lincoln, Alabama. In 1985, she moved to Ooltewah from her family’s farm in Goodwater, Alabama, and quickly embraced her neighbors in a loving and caring manner.

She is preceded in death by her husband Davis Leon Ogburn, as well as her daughter Betty S. Lumpkin.

Mable’s surviving relatives include her son-in-law Roy L. Lumpkin Jr., Grandson John Davis Lumpkin and his wife Rose, and four Great-Grandchildren Chad H. Lumpkin, Sean Davis Lumpkin, Jenna Kae Lumpkin, and Joshua Karl Lumpkin.

Mable’s interment and graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, Monday, July 21, 2014 in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens, with her grave being adjacent to her husband, who passed on before her. Minister Richard Baff of Mountain View Christian Church will conduct the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you to either contribute to the Mountain View Christian Church or to a charity of your choice.
