Lukie Larry Broglin, affectionately known as Larry, age 78, of Sweetwater, TN, passed away November 26, 2025 at home surrounded by loved ones. Larry was a devoted christian who loved to spread the gospel to everyone he came across. He loved his family (and his coffee), Larry enjoyed participating in the Senior Olympics, playing a game of cornhole or horseshoe, going fishing, and especially picking at his great-grandkids. Larry will be missed tremendously by his family as he was a big presence in their lives.
Larry was preceded in death by grandparents, William (Bud) & Lou Branson Broglin and Luke & Fannie Coleman; parents, James Lee (Jim) and Lillie Mae (Prater) Broglin; daughter, Jackie Broglin; grandson, James D. Cooper; sisters, Bernice Stafford, Jaunita Hinds,Virginia Sloane, Brookie Weddington, Alta Wallace, and Wilma A. Broglin Robinson; brothers, Samuel (Buck) Adams, Mack S. Adams, John Henry Adams, Bill W. Adams, and Paul Adams.
Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children: Tammy Broglin, Andrew (Mary) Broglin, Joey (Mendy) Hall, and Michelle (Randy) Becker; grandchildren: Sierra Bales, Dakota Bales, Zach Broglin, Jordan Broglin, Champaigne Robinson, Justice (Mikle) Baker, Hunter Bowers, Justin (Jessica) Hall, Cheyenne (Jacob) Vick, and Ashley Turpin; as well as numerous great-grandchildren whom he greatly cherished.
There will be a graveside service with Military honors on Friday December 19, 2025 @ 11:00 a.m. at Sweetwater Valley Memorial Park located in Sweetwater, TN. The family welcomes anyone who would like to attend to please do so.
Following the graveside there will be a celebration of life gathering at Outpost Mission Church located in Sweetwater.
Companion Funeral Home of Athens, TN and the Cody Family are honored to assist the family with Larry's final Arrangements.
