Linda Sue "Susie" Shelton of Athens, TN passed away suddenly on July 30, 2026 at the age of 57. She was born in Murfreesboro,TN.

Preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, James Shelton; father, Feddie Massingale; and brother, Donnie Massingale.

Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Jessica and Billy Pierce; one grandson, Ely Pierce; two granddaughters; mother, Linda Massingale; brothers, Jimmy, Richard, and Tony Massingale; one sister, Sharon Massingale; two nephews, Dace Brown and Brandon Massingale; special friend of 21 years, Bradley Wicker; and many other loved family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Planted in Christ (317 Maple Street, Athens, TN 37303) on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at 6:00pm. Receiving of friends will be held prior from 4:00pm-6:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Companion Funeral Home of Athens to help with final expenses.
