Linda Sue Cagle, age 78, of Harrison, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025. She was born on March 22, 1947, to M.T. and Imogene Haynes.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She placed her faith in Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She found joy in simple pleasures—gardening, sewing, caring for her cats, and most of all, caring for her family. Her greatest strength was her selflessness; she spent her life lifting others up and was always the first to help anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Fred J. Cagle Sr.; her parents, M.T. and Imogene Haynes; and her brothers, Marion and Ricky Haynes.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Nick (Tonya) Cagle, Susan (Tracy) Bayless, James Cagle, and Becky (Bill) Wright; her siblings: Gary, Michael, and Jeff Haynes; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Throughout her life, Linda worked hard and wore many hats. She held roles at Cumberland Case, sold insurance, managed a Waffle House, and later managed convenient stores. No matter the job, she brought dedication, compassion, and a strong work ethic. But her true calling was caring for others—spending countless years caring for her parents, husband, and anyone who needed help. Her legacy is one of love, sacrifice, and unwavering strength.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
