Lillie Jane Smith Kincaid Rogers, age 98, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on October 18, 2025.
She was born on May 28, 1927, to Carl Mathis Smith and Marie Crittenden Smith. Lillie lived a full and joyful life centered around her family and faith. Her grandchildren were truly her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She loved gardening, growing beautiful flowers, and caring for her yard. Lillie also enjoyed music-especially Southern Gospel-and loved attending gospel singings. A talented homemaker, she found joy in crocheting and sewing for her grandchildren and family.
Throughout her life, Lillie worked hard and took pride in her work. She was employed at Charleston Hosiery and Collin's Manufacturing as a seamstress and later worked in the cafeteria for Cleveland City Schools. She was a devoted member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl Mathis Smith and Marie Crittenden Smith; her first husband, Leonard Joseph Kincaid; her second husband, J.C. Rogers; and her son, Larry D. Kincaid.
Lillie is survived by her daughter, Judy (Danny) Kincaid Osment; grandchildren Loren (Tim) Cate, Shelley (Keith) Lilly, Michelle Corum, and Jamie Kincaid; great-grandchildren Kelsey Jourden, Kendall Cate, Gage Mathews, Jacob Mathews, Trey Lilly, and Max Lilly; and great-great-grandchildren Hope Kincaid and William Andrews Mathews.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lillie's life at a visitation on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2415 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David Disney officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Lillie's legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
