Leon Edward Smith, 86, of Loudon, TN went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2026.

Leon had a talent for woodworking and enjoyed spending his spare time creating a variety of handcrafted projects. He dedicated many years of service to Moore Business Forms in Angola, Indiana, retiring at the age of 55. Never one to stay idle, he continued working in maintenance at a local nursing home before owning and operating a BP Gas Station in Angola for two years.

Following retirement, Leon and his beloved wife, Shirley, answered God's call to serve through SOWER Ministries (Servants on Wheels Ever Ready). Together, they traveled to Christian campgrounds across the country, volunteering their time and talents to support the ministry. Through their years of service, they formed countless lasting friendships and treasured the memories they made while faithfully serving the Lord.

Preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mildred Smith; son, Mark Allen Smith; daughter, Kelly Spiker; and brother, Marvin Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Shirley Smith; daughter, Pamela (Larry) Fifer; son, Randy Smith; grandchildren, Larry Fifer Jr., Shelby Parrott, Jordan Parrott, and Sarah Smith; siblings, Jerry Smith, Marge Hinkle, and Marilyn Provines; and many other loved family and friends.

Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life Service at Fairview Baptist Tabernacle Church in Sweetwater (112 Key Kile Rd, Sweetwater, TN 37874) at 1:00 on July 30, 2026.
