Lena Long

Lena Gail Long (80) of Charleston, Tennessee, passed from this earth to her Heavenly home on December 18, 2024. She was born August 4, 1944, in Loving, Georgia, to Virgil and Bettie Arp who preceded her in death. Gail gave her heart to Jesus at the age of 62 at Centerpoint Baptist Church where she attended until her health prevented her from going.

Along with her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her daughter Bylynda Mooneyham, her husband James Long, Brothers James Arp, BH Arp, and sister Vivan Thomas.

She leaves behind two sons Keith Peters and his girlfriend Drucilla of Charleston, Tennessee, and Eric Peters and his wife Susan of Calhoun, Tennessee, one granddaughter Danielle Midkiff and her husband Jonathan of Yogykarta, Indonesia, two great granddaughters Jaina and Alexis Midkiff also of Yogykarta, Indonesia, one brother Herb Arp of Benton, Tennessee, and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Keith Peters, Eric Peters, Mark Peters, Gene Peters, T. O. Peters, Perry Singleton.

Celebration of Life services for Lena Long will be held on Monday, at 12:30 PM at Companion Funeral Home "Ridge Chapel".

Visitation: Monday, at 11:30 AM to 12:30 at Companion Funeral Home "Ridge Chapel".. Interment will be at McMinn Memory Gardens in Athens, Tennessee immediately following the funeral.
