Lawrence "Leo" Ballew

Lawrence "Leo" Ballew, 59, of Ten Mile, TN went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2025.

Leo was a car enthusiast; he loved going to car shows and spending time painting cars. He spent most of his career as a boat manufacturer for Bryant Boats. Leo was a poet and a freelance artist. He was a member of The Gathering Church in Ten Mile.

Preceded in death by his son, Justin Ballew; father, Harlan Ballew; mother in-law, Haley McDaniel; and sister in-law and cancer buddy, Kim McDaniel.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Shelia Ballew; two sons, Jarrod Ballew and Jonathan Ballew; daughters, Cheyenne Ballew and Lena Ballew; mother, Nancy Ballew; brothers, Dean Ballew (Wanoka), Doyle Ballew, Randy Ballew (Donna); sisters, Elisha Ballew, Melinda Brooks (Jim), Sharyn Wright; brother in-laws, Ronnie McDaniel (Vicki), Bill McDaniel; sister in-law, Starlit Pickett (Darin); special niece, Jessica Johnson; many nieces, nephews and other loved family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at Companion Funeral Home of Athens on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 1:00pm with Pastor Lynn King officiating. A Visitation will be held prior from 11:00am - 1:00pm. A Graveside Service will follow the funeral at McMinn Memory Gardens.
