Listen to Obituary

LaVonne Marie Paschall, daughter, wife, aunt, mother, Grandmother (GiGi to her grandchildren), but most importantly a child of the most High God went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 20,2026. She never met a stranger. If you were one of the lucky ones, she had a cute or sweet nickname for you. Lavonne was sparkly, sassy, and spicy. She loved BIG! If she was passionate about something, she went all in. When her husband, Dennis, passed away 10 years ago, she decided to become Ohio State Football's biggest fan! In her spare time LaVonne enjoyed flower arranging, shopping, and going to the beach.

Something that my mom loved more than Ohio State Football was Jesus and her family. When she was still able, she would serve and volunteer in her church and local ministries. Her heart was in food and clothing ministries. She also knew how to decorate with flowers and plants. She loved doing floral arrangements for the sanctuary and special occasions.

She loved her kids: Chad and Chanin, and her bonus daughter, Mary, as she liked to call her. But her absolute pride and joy was her grandchildren- Silas, Payton, and Trey. She was their biggest cheerleader (even bigger than their mom. Chanin has some big shoes to fill.) LaVonne didn't hesitate to tell anyone about her "grands." One of the Staff members from Avail Senior Living told Lavonne's family: "No one talks about their grandkids like Lavonne talks about hers."

LaVonne was a force of life and light. Her spice and sass was passed down to her daughter, Chanin and granddaughter, Payton, who is said to have gotten a double portion. Her daughter, Chanin, says this about her mom: "She was my best friend, but more importantly, she was my Mom. I told her that I was so blessed that God chose her to by my mom."

LaVonne was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Paschall; her parents, Mary Jancauskas and Edward Pawl; sister, Deanna Pawl; and her son, Chad Paschall.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Chanin (Brian) Giannasio; her bonus daughter, Mary Freel; and her grandchildren, Silas Giannasio, Payton Giannasio, and Trey Giannasio; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
