Larry Maples

Larry Allen Maples, age 72, passed away peacefully at his home in Cleveland, Tennessee, on June 5, 2025. Born on December 1, 1952, Larry was a lifelong resident of Tennessee who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Larry was the proud owner of Maples Professional Painting, where he poured his skill, hard work, and integrity into every project. Known for his dedication and craftsmanship, he built not only a successful business but also a strong reputation in his community.
Outside of work, Larry found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He especially enjoyed fishing and treasured the time spent with his grandchildren.

His greatest pride came from his family, and he will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, C.L. and Hazel Maples, his brother Richard Maples, and his sons Paul Maples and Adam Gates.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Maples; children Daniel Maples, Cody Gates, and Lisa Cote; sisters Shelia Joy Long and Sharon Seferyn; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held to honor Larry's life. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to remember Larry by spending time outdoors with loved ones-just as he would have wanted.
