Larry Edward Mcgehee

Larry Edward McGehee, 76, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019. He was the son of the late Robert “Lofton” McGehee and Alberta Boring McGehee. Larry was a proud member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 203 having served 2 years in the Army while stationed 11 months and 16 days in Vietnam. He retired from Maytag of Cleveland after 43 years of service. Larry was a long time member of Waterville Baptist Church.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, sister, Marie Lea; brother-in-law, Wendall Botts.
Larry is survived by his only child, Crystal L. Tinsley; grandsons, W. Kaleb Tinsley, whom he lovingly referred to as his “first born” and Conner Edward Tinsley, whom he affectionately called “his namesake.” They were his pride and joy and the apples of his eye. Other survivors include his brother, Jim McGehee; brother-in-law, John Lea; sister, Faye Botts; nephews, Tony McGehee, Terry Botts and Mark McGehee; nieces, Karen Botts, Tina Sonnier, his girlfriend Linda Barbrow and several nieces and nephews, all of Cleveland.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. and a memorial service to follow in the Chapel of Companion Funeral Home-Cleveland.
