In Loving Memory of Laketa Sue Thomas
Laketa Sue Thomas, age 72, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and faithful servant of the Lord. Her life was a beautiful testimony of her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, her devotion to her family, and her generous heart. Laketa was preceded in death by her loving parents, Chester Franklin Thomas and Allie Wilma Thurmond Thomas. Their memory remains a cherished part of her family's story and legacy. Laketa was a woman who loved her family deeply and dedicated herself wholeheartedly to both her loved ones and her work. She understood the value of hard work, the importance of family, and the blessing of loving others without reservation. Her heart was always open, and she gave freely of her love, kindness, and compassion to those around her.
Above all, Laketa loved Jesus with all her heart. Her faith was not simply something she believed in; it was something she lived and shared with others. She was generous with her testimony, always willing to speak of God's goodness and remind those around her of the many ways He blesses our lives. Through her words, her love, and the way she lived, she sought to encourage others and point them toward the hope and grace found in Christ. Her love for the Lord was a guiding light in her life, and her testimony leaves behind a lasting reminder that God is good, even through life's most difficult seasons. The seeds of faith she planted in the hearts of those who knew her will continue to grow through the generations that follow.
Laketa leaves behind her two beloved children, DeLana Gayle Busick and Gefforey Edward Harrison Busick; her brother, Arliss Thomas; her two sisters, Patricia Smith and Regina Davis; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren, all of whom are part of the beautiful family legacy she leaves behind. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love she shared, the faith she lived, and the testimony she gave will never be forgotten. Her life touched the hearts of those who knew her, and her memory will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives were blessed by her kindness and love.
We take comfort in knowing that Laketa's faith was in Jesus Christ, whom she loved so dearly. While our hearts grieve her passing, we hold close the promise of eternal life and the hope of being reunited with those we love in the presence of our Savior. Her life was a testimony. Her love was a blessing. Her faith was her legacy. May she be remembered always for the love she gave so freely, the family she cherished so deeply, and the goodness of God she so faithfully proclaimed. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:21 (KJV)
