Kylie Grace Trapp Pavelchik, 24, of Chattanooga, passed from this life into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 25, 2026.

Kylie was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science. She started working toward her teaching certification and served as a biology teacher at Chattanooga Charter School of Excellence. Kylie was deeply loved by her students and colleagues, and she, in turn, poured her heart into each of them with compassion, patience, and joy.

A gifted athlete, Kylie had a lifelong love for soccer. She also had a tender heart for animals and devoted much of her time to caring for them, especially her beloved dog, Orion, whom she cherished and cared for with exceptional devotion, often taking him on long hikes and adventures.

Kylie was known for her quick wit, her loyalty as a friend, and the light she brought into every room. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and granddaughter who held those she loved to a high standard-not out of expectation, but her deep belief in their God-given potential. She encouraged others to grow, to persevere, and to be the very best versions of themselves.

She found joy in reading, especially fantasy and young adult fiction, and had a beautiful singing voice that blessed those fortunate enough to hear it. Kylie also loved music and enjoyed playing Dungeons & Dragons, a passion she shared with her husband, John, a love that grew into a beautiful marriage.

As the firstborn, Kylie brought immeasurable joy to her parents, Brian and Melissa, making them parents for the first time and giving Melissa's parents the gift of becoming grandparents. She dearly loved her siblings and was truly the light of her family.

Above all, Kylie's life was a reflection of her unwavering faith. She loved the Lord with all her heart and sought to honor Him in all she did. Kylie's favorite hymn was "Be Thou My Vision," and she faithfully lived out its words and meaning in her daily life. Through her involvement in church and participation in mission trips, she lived out her faith in both word and action, serving others and sharing Christ's love wherever she went.

While her passing leaves a profound ache in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, there is peace in the promise of eternal life. Because of her faith in Jesus Christ, her family and friends take comfort in knowing this is not goodbye, but "until we meet again."

Preceded in death by her grandparents, Brenda and Jerry Trapp.

Survivors include her husband, John Pavelchik; parents, Brian and Melissa Trapp; siblings, Emma Kate Trapp and Drew Trapp; grandparents, Harry and Sheila Craft; special friends, Jack and Daegin Lott; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends.

There will be a funeral service on Sunday March 29, 2026 at 6:00pm at East Athens Baptist Church (301 Central Avenue, Athens, TN 37303). A visitation will be held prior from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Pastor Patrick Bowerman will be officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks donations be made to McKamey Animal Center of Chattanooga or Chattanooga Charter School of Excellence in Kylie's memory.

You are invited to share a personal memory of Kylie or your condolences with her family at her online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral Home of Athens and the Cody family are honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
