Kim Strickland

Kimela Ann Strickland passed away on May 6th, 2026, after an extraordinary life full of service and love. She is survived by her numerous family and friends, including her husband of 41 years, Jimmy, her daughters Brooke and Abby, her sons-in-law Hunter and Peyton, and her beloved grandchildren Ava, Reily, and Wesley. In her 29 years of teaching, she imparted the love of learning and reading to hundreds of students. She was the hands and feet of Jesus to her children, her workplace, and her greater Church community in Cleveland, TN. Her story on earth ended after many years of her retirement, enjoyed with her husband, her best friend and truest love. She leaves a lasting legacy as a friend, sister, daughter, aunt, teacher, mom, wife, and follower of Christ.

Visitation will be held in the Chapel at First Baptist Cleveland on Saturday, May 9th from 12-2 pm, followed by a celebration of life service at 2pm with burial to follow at Hiwassee Memorial Gardens.
