Kenneth Lee Miller, 83, of Georgetown, Tennessee, passed away on August 6, 2026. He was born on March 31, 1943.

Ken was a graduate of Bradley Central High School. After high school, he proudly joined the United States Army, serving his country before continuing his education at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he earned his B.S.B.A. in 1976. He then continued his education at the University of Tennessee College of Law, earning his J.D.

While attending the University of Tennessee College of Law, Ken served on the University of Tennessee Law Review and won the first Appellate Advocates Moot Court Competition. He graduated in the top 10% of his class, an accomplishment that reflected his dedication and determination.

Following law school, Ken served for one year as Law Clerk for U.S. District Judge Frank Wilson. He then served for five years as an Assistant District Attorney for the 10th Judicial District of Tennessee. In 1982, he entered private practice and, in 1989, joined the law firm of Logan and Associates. In 1992, he became a shareholder in the firm of Logan-Thompson, P.C.

Ken dedicated his legal career entirely to criminal defense law. Throughout his many years of practice, he defended all manner of criminal cases, from petty theft to capital homicide. He was admitted to practice law in Tennessee in 1976 and before the U.S. Federal Court in 1983. His career was marked by a strong commitment to his clients and to the practice of law.

Outside of the courtroom, Ken was a man who found joy in the simple things in life. He enjoyed reading, gardening, Carolina shag dancing, taking his boat out, watching and talking about sports, and spending time with his family and friends. Some of his greatest happiness came from being surrounded by the people he loved and making memories with them.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Otis Sr. Miller; his mother, Louise Bell Miller; his grandparents, Lee and Leona Bell and William and Martha Miller; and his sisters, Martha Miller Turner and Oteen Miller Smith; and his brothers-in-law, Tommy Turner, Don Paulk, and Charles Smith.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 47 years, Elaine Miller; his stepchildren, Christy Thomas, Betsy Clark (Steve Clark), and Jim Everhart (Margaret Everhart); his grandchildren, Arthel Clark, Miller Clark, Gracie Clark, Saylor Clark, Knox Everhart, Luke Everhart, Hunter Thomas, and Mallory Brumlow; his sister, Clariece Miller Paulk; his brother, Otis Jr. Miller (Patricia Miller); his sister-in-law, Kandace Stevens Joiner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends.

Ken will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched, the family he loved, the friendships he treasured, and the countless memories he left behind.

We will announce the details of Kenneth's Celebration of Life at a later date.

Rest peacefully, Kenneth. You will be loved and missed forever.
