Kelly Michelle Trotter, born April 3, 1973, passed away May 22, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of strength, laughter, and unconditional love. Kelly was the kind of person who could light up a room with her humor and warm spirit. Her positive attitude and fighting heart inspired everyone who knew her. No matter the challenge, Kelly faced life head on with courage and determination.
She was an extraordinary hard worker, always giving her all and caring deeply for those around her. Kelly also had a love for the Tennessee Volunteers football and enjoyed cheering them on every chance she got.
Through her battle with cancer, Kelly never lost focus and continually reminded those around her that God was good. She found her strength and peace in knowing God was always with her, and her faith became an inspiration to everyone who walked beside her during her journey.
Above all else, Kelly's greatest joy in life was her family. She leaves behind her loving children, Brent Matthew Wells and Dixie Skye Crisp, and her precious grandchildren, Everest, Frankie, Collins, and Shepherd Wells, who brought her endless happiness and were truly the light of her life. She also leaves behind two brothers Gene Trotter and Curtis Trotter, her beloved mother, Mary Ruth Ballew Trotter, and her faithful four legged companion, Maggie Grace Trotter, who stayed faithfully by her side. Kelly was preceded in death by her father, Willard Owen Trotter.
Kelly will be remembered for her laughter, her strength, her fierce love for her family, and the way she made people feel seen and cared for. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM at The Chapel Church located on 2412 Wolfe Drive in Cleveland, TN. A service Celebrating her life will begin at 1:00 PM at the church officiated by the Reverend Dustin Wilds.
