Kathleen Deal

Kathleen Mealer Deal, age 63, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Kathleen was born in Copperhill, Tennessee, a place she always held close to her heart. She loved the simple joys of life-camping, fishing, cookouts, and especially playing musical instruments alongside her family. Kathleen was known for her warm heart and gentle spirit. She was a loving and caring daughter, devoted wife, cherished mother, and proud grandmother. She truly loved everyone she met and made each person feel special.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 25 years, Billy Deal, with whom she treasured every moment-he was truly the love of her life; her daughter, Jalee Kathleen Loyd; her sons, Gabriel Worthy, Brad Deal, and Chad Deal; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Deal; grandchildren, Gracie Valley Lane and Daniel Hunter Lane of Copperhill, TN; Joselyn Deal, Madison Deal, Kaelyn, Zachary Cot of Atlanta, GA; Justin Deal, Terie Wright, and Kinsley Wright of McCaysville, GA; great-grandchildren, Sidney Deal, Waylon Deal, and Walter Henry Cox; and her beloved grand loves, Zarius and Ziona Keirtz of Morganton; Tydus, Tommie, Myla, and Hayley Witherow; Kade Jordan, Briar Hughes, Clementine Jordan, and Brailiy Landry, all of Copperhill, TN.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Grassy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 118 Hidden Circle Dr., Copperhill, TN 37317. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor David O'Neal and Pastor Scott Ware officiating.

Kathleen will be laid to rest at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Billy Waters officiating the graveside service.

Kathleen's love, kindness, and joyful spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
