Kandra Gaye Payne

It is with both heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Kandra Gaye Payne, who left this world on June 29, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on March 18, 1962, Kandra was a cherished lifelong resident of Chattanooga and Ringgold. She was a member at Hickory Valley Baptist Church. Kandra embraced her community with open arms and a generous spirit.

Kandra was known for her radiant smile and infectious laughter, which brightened the lives of those around her. She served as a beacon of support in her neighborhood, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Kandra's kindness and nurturing nature made her a beloved friend and confidante to many, and her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Kandra was preceded in death by her father, James Lively; her mother, Wanda Lively; and her beloved sister, Sandra Kelly. She leaves behind her siblings Tammy (Alex) Padgett, Michelle Lively (Cheryl) and James (Tonya) Lively; nephew, Rick Lane; nieces, Emmy and Dani; and her cherished companion, Apollo.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Companion Funeral Home, located at 6018 John Douglas Drive in Chattanooga, TN, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Family and friends will gather to honor Kandra's memory with a graveside service at 5:00 PM at Lee Cemetery in McDonald, TN.

As we reflect on Kandra's remarkable life, we encourage all who knew her to share stories, laughter, and love in her honor. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the joy she brought into our lives.
