Kaleb "Flash" Coffel, 39, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away tragically and far too soon on May 7, 2026.
Kaleb was a gifted athlete whose passion for fitness and competition shaped every stage of his life. A graduate of Bradley Central High School, he excelled in track and field and continued his athletic career at Middle Tennessee State University before competing professionally in track. He also found success competing in Spartan Races, where his determination and relentless drive inspired many.
More than a decade ago, Kaleb founded Flash Fitness, dedicating his life to helping others pursue healthier lives and achieve their personal goals. Through his encouragement, discipline, and genuine care for people, he impacted countless lives in the Cleveland community and beyond.
Above all else, Kaleb deeply loved his daughter, Ava McDonald, who was the center of his world.
He was preceded in death by his father Dennis Carl Denton and stepfather Jim Martin.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Ava McDonald; his mother, Teresa Coffel; his brothers, Brandon Coffel and Quon Cunningham; along with an extended family of relatives, friends, clients, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness and encouragement.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in the Ridge Sanctuary of Companion Funeral Home, located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A Celebration of Life service will follow the visitation at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Guinn Green officiating.
In true Kaleb fashion, we encourage guests to bring stories, laughter, and a little personality to the celebration of his life. For those who knew his humor best, feel free to add a subtle nod to him - cowboy boots, jorts, or whatever feels like "Kaleb."
You are invited to share a personal memory of Kaleb or your condolences with his family at his online memorial at www.companionfunerals.com.
Companion Funeral & Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the Coffel family with these arrangements.
