Our beloved mother, June Ellen Rinker, age 96, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, on August 26, 2026. Hearth Hospice was a great support.
She leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and precious memories.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret; father, Clifford; brothers, Jim, Frank, and Bob; sisters, Evelyn, Marge, and Virginia; and, in January of this year, she lost her son, Larry.
She leaves behind her sister, Dolores Paterson, and brother, Harry Barker; her sons, Mike Rinker (Sandy), Scott Rinker (Donna); daughters, Karie Routzon (Mark), Angela Willis (Jaclyn); and son in heart (nephew), Tim Applegarth (Tracey).
Grandchildren: Mikeala (Michael), Elkin, Kristie (Chris), Karie (Jason), Kyle (Kendall), Curt (Sarah), Jaqulin, and Sage.
Great-grandchildren: Ava, Eli, Taylor, Fisher, Raliene, Madison, Blakelyn, Liam, and Jamesyn. Three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She lived in Cleveland for 26 years after leaving California and made a beautiful life surrounded by the people and things she loved. Her family always came first, and being a loving mother and spending time with her family brought her great joy.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time in her yard. She loved her time working at the church thrift store, where she met and became friends with so many wonderful people. Her kindness, warmth, and sweet personality touched the lives of many.
June was a faithful member of Community Hall Church, where she loved her church family dearly. She was loved in return and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, family, friendship, and countless memories that will be treasured forever. Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort knowing that she is now resting in the loving arms of the Lord.
She was a wonderful mother, a cherished friend, and a precious soul who will never be forgotten.
Until we meet again in Heaven.
