Julius "J.P" Anthony Ptak

Julius "J.P." Anthony Ptak, age 63, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

Julius was born on February 27, 1963, in Wyandotte, Michigan. He was a kindhearted man with a wonderful sense of humor who could always bring laughter to those around him. J.P. was a hoot to be around and had a heart for helping others, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He cherished spending time with his family, especially loving on his grandbabies, who brought him so much joy. He also enjoyed fishing on Douglas Lake and camping, making memories along the way. Above all, Julius was a loving father, brother, and grandpa who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Julius leaves behind to cherish his memory his three sons, Josh (Donna) Ptak, Jeremy Ptak, and Daniel (Heather) Shangle; his twin sister, Julie Lawrence; his two brothers, Tom (Kathy) Ptak and John Ptak; and his seven beloved grandchildren, Emilee Ptak, Madelyn Ptak, Brylee Ptak, Raelyn Ptak, Annalise Shangle, Renek Howell, and Demarcus Howell Jr.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Companion Funeral and Cremation Service, located at 2415 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. All are welcome to attend and pay their respects.
