Judy Gail Newsom

Judy Gail Higdon Newsom, 69 of Chattanooga, departed this life on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at a local healthcare facility. Born on February 4, 1952 to the late James and Ruth Price Higdon, she was a native and lifelong resident of Hamilton County and a member of Lookout Mountain Baptist Church. She retired from Erlanger after 25 plus years of service as a medical transcriptionist and loved spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Zachary Higdon; husband, Rick Newsom; and brother, Guy Higdon.
Survivors include her daughter, Lacey Liberty (Vincent Potter); grandchildren, Kaliona Liberty and Jaymeigh Liberty; brother, Ronnie Higdon; and several extended family members and a host of friends.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
