Joyce Thornton

Joyce Thornton, 67, beloved mother, sister, aunt, nana, passed away in Sale Creek, TN, June 6, 2025, with loved ones by her side including Jennifer and Adam Graham. Joyce's life was a testament to the enduring power of her love of family and unwavering dedication. 
Preceded in death by her son James Graham, her mother, Lucille Farris, father, Chester Farris, sisters, Patsy, Loretta, and Marsha Farris, and brother Clifford Farris.

Joyce leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Joyce's biggest accomplishment was raising her grandchildren, Allen, Alex, and Logan Graham. She is survived by four of her children: Arvin, Allen, Tisha, and Jennifer Graham. Survived by her siblings: Carolyn, Betty, Donald, Chester, and Michael Farris, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life.

She was known for her kindness, boundless hospitality, and ensuring every visitor felt welcomed and well-fed, often with her famous flitters and a pot of coffee.

Celebration of life will be held on July 6th, 2025 at Kristopher's Kingdom Park, 475 Black Track Rd, Graysville, TN 37338, begins at 2pm, balloon release at 4pm.
