Joshua Earl Thomas

Joshua Earl Thomas, age 42, of Oliver Springs, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

Joshua was a loving father, son, brother and partner who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but we find comfort in knowing he is in Jehovah's memory until we see him again. He shared a life with his longtime partner, Tabatha Phillips, who is also the mother of his son Aiden.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Thomas, as well as both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Joshua is survived by his mother, Janet Thomas; his brothers, Jason Thomas (Gabrielle and nephew Roman Thomas); Nathan Thomas (Cassie); Marcus Thomas, and Isaac Thomas (Whitney). He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins here in Tennessee and Georgia.

Josh had a great sense of humor and you could always count on some good jokes and laughter anytime you were around him. He enjoyed target practicing, fishing, and spending time outside. He was a hard worker, and was a heavy equipment operator at Yates Construction. His greatest joy in life came in 2021 when he and Tabatha welcomed their son Aiden. Josh couldn't wait to be a father and loved spending time with his son. He also enjoyed being a bonus dad to Tabatha's daughter Ari, taking his role as chauffeur seriously and shuttling her to and from friends houses.

"And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
