Joshua Archer Harmon

Joshua Archer Harmon, age 39, went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2026. Joshua was an adventurer at heart, known for his love of life and his willingness to serve others.

Josh proudly served in the United States Army from 2010–2014 as a 1st Lieutenant in a logistics role while stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. He graduated with honors as a distinguished military graduate from LSU College of Business in May 2010 after completing Army ROTC. He attended high school at Berean Academy, and the people there always held a place in his heart.

Josh's life was marked by dedication, achievement, and courage, but also by suffering. Through all of it, he did not waver in his faith in Jesus. He still found joy in the great outdoors with his beloved dog and watching LSU football with his nephews.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn; stepmother, Annette; his sisters, Pam, Jill, and Julia; his stepbrother and best friend, John Wesley; his stepsisters, Kayla, Joanna, and Andrea; his foster sister, Delta; his niece, Lauren; and his nephews, SSG (Ret.) Stephen IV, Liam, David, Noah, and Aiden. He was preceded in death by his dad, LTC (Ret.) Stephen Jr, and brother, COL (Ret.) Stephen III. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He will be buried at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 22 from 10:45-11:15 at Calvary Chapel Chattanooga with the service to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Renew Ministry in Chattanooga.
