Joseph Richard Stafford, Sr.

Joseph Richard Stafford, Sr., age 74, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Joseph was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dean Stafford; his son, Joseph Stafford, Jr.; his parents, Cora and Albert Stafford; and his brothers, Larry Stafford, Earnest Stafford, Cazzey Stafford, and Waldo Stafford.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy McKheen; his son, Dickey Lynn Hamilton; his brother, Jimmy Stafford; his grandchildren, Tabitha (Carmen) Brown, Amanda (Brandon) Durbin, Lindsey Hamilton, Jenniffer Hamilton, Jacob (Kimber) Stafford, Zackary Hill, Devin Hamilton, and J.T. Stafford. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Joseph enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved fishing and camping, often finding peace and happiness in the outdoors. He also enjoyed spending time at flea markets and never missed an opportunity to browse for a good find. Above all, he loved his children and grandchildren dearly, and his greatest joy came from time spent with his family.

A celebration of Joseph's life will be held at Companion Funeral Home - Cleveland Chapel on Sunday, March 21, 2026. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., with a service officiated by Pastor Joe Dail beginning at 4:00 p.m.
