Joseph Walter Meadows Sr.

Joseph Walter Meadows Sr., 77, passed away on May 13, 2025. Joseph was born to the late William Ernest Meadows Sr. And Mary Elbon Meadows on July 19, 1947 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Joseph served the Chattanooga Fire Department for 28 years as a Captain before his retirement. He loved woodworking, painting, and cooking (especially grilling).

In addition to his parents, Joseph is preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Bales Meadows, son, Mark Wesley Alexander, brother, William Earnest Meadows Jr., and his sisters, Mary Elizabeth Meadows Griffin and Frances Louise Meadows Tibbetts.

He is survived by his sons, Joseph Walter "Joey" (Mandy) Meadows Jr., and John Christopher (Kelli) Meadows, daughters, Deborah Lorraine (Michael) Bare, and Dawn Kimberly Meadows Johnson, 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
