Johnny Lee Exline Sr., age 73, of Polk County, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on March 17, 2026.

Johnny was born on December 29, 1952, in Morgantown, West Virginia, to the late Lourene Gladis Gibson and Ward Henry Exline.

He spent over 40 years working in the construction industry and, in his later years, became a successful large truck mechanic. Johnny was known for his kind heart, loving nature, and willingness to help others. He had a deep passion for working on vehicles and truly enjoyed the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were among his favorite pastimes, and the memories made catfishing with his family will always be cherished. Above all, Johnny treasured the time he spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ward and Lourene, Johnny was preceded in death by his sisters, Brenda Sue Exline, Judie Ann Exline, Joyce Lourene Exline, Rosemarie Exline, and Nancy Norton; and his brothers, Ward Larry Exline, Carl E. Exline, and Earl N. Exline.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Rhonda Exline; his beloved children, Johnny Lee Exline Jr., George Exline, Patrick Exline, Mike Exline, Joseph Hayes, Rose Rivas, Willow Exline, Zachary Piasecki, Courtney Piasecki, and Cheyenne Martin; several cherished grandchildren; his sisters, Mary Wallace and Wendy Seem; along with many daughters- and sons-in-law, extended family members, and close friends who will deeply miss him.

In accordance with Johnny's wishes, he will be cremated. The family will hold a celebration of life service at a later date to honor and remember him.
