Johnny Dewayne Blackwell

Johnny Blackwell, 64, passed away on March 24, 2026. Born on September 21, 1961, Johnny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed the simple things in life, especially fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and loving on his cherished fur babies, Spud and Sassy.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Lennie (Green) Blackwell; his brothers, Frank and Ronnie Blackwell; his sister, Geraldine Blackwell; and his brother-in-law, JD Walraven.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Blackwell; his son, Micheal Blackwell; his daughter, Paula Davis; and two stepchildren, Shenna Posey (Robert Cansler) and Robby Posey (Tiffany Ogle). He also leaves behind six grandchildren, Mia Cansler, Hunter Blackwell, Blake Blackwell, Mackynzie Blackwell, Paulina Nix, and Johnny Davis. Johnny is further survived by his sisters, JoAnn Wallraven and Nancy (Becky) Miller, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish his memory.

A celebration of life service will be held on April 4, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, located at 169 Antioch Church Road, Benton, Tennessee 37307, with Pastor John Cain officiating.
