Johnathan Mynatte McKeehan

Johnathan Mynatte McKeehan, age 43, passed away unexpectedly on July 2, 2026.

Born and raised in McMinn County, Tennessee, Johnathon spent his entire life in the community he called home.

Despite facing many challenges throughout his life, he was known for his generous heart, kind spirit, and willingness to help others. He had a deep love for animals and found great joy in spending time fishing.

Johnathon was preceded in death by his parents, Judith Russell and Randall M. McKeehan; his brother, Randall Marcus McKeehan II; his maternal grandparents, John L. and Lillian Salisbury Russell; and his paternal grandparents, Chester M. and Nellie Sue Rogers McKeehan.

He is survived by his sister, Kristy L. Landreth; his sister-in-law, Beth Berkhouse McKeehan; his nieces, Sarah Kathryn Landreth and Hadassah McKeehan; his nephew, Andrew P. Landreth; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Shower Bus Ministry, Attention: Joe Crawford, and dropped off at Old National Bank in Athens, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends from ​4:00pm til 6:00pm on July 31st, 2026​ at Companion Funeral Home - Athens Chapel​ located at 400 S White Street, Athens, Tennessee. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at ​6:00pm​ with ​Pastor Todd Humbert​ officiating.
