John Jones

John "Mike" Jones, 81, of Cleveland, TN passed away on July 15, 2025.

He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a 1961 graduate of Etowah High School. He was a member of North Cleveland Baptist Church. Mike retired from E.I. DuPont after 35 years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Linda Sue Jones of Cleveland; son Jesse E. Jones (Cassandra) of Knoxville; grandchildren Gunnar, Lauren, and Madelyn; brothers and sisters-in-law Jane and Larry Partain, Ellen Bowman, and Terry Crittenden. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carter and Dona Jones of Etowah, TN; father and mother-in-law Egbert and Gladys Crittenden of Athens; two brothers and three sisters.

Mike's family will receive friends on Monday July 21st from 4pm until 6pm at The Ridge Chapel of Companion . A celebration of life service will be held at 6pm with Pastor Bart Starr officiating. He will be laid to rest at Green Hill Cemetery in Etowah, TN.
