John "Johnny" E. Maney

John "Johnny" E. Maney, of Cleveland, Tennessee age 68, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026.

Johnny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who cherished the time he spent with the people he loved most. He had a deep love for his East Tennessee home and enjoyed spending time in the beauty of the Smoky Mountains. An outdoorsman at heart, Johnny loved fishing and hunting and could often be found enjoying the simple pleasures of being outside.

He also enjoyed taking trips to Bass Pro Shops, but perhaps one of his most recognizable traditions was his love for Tennessee football. There simply wasn't a fall Saturday without hearing Johnny proudly say, "GO VOLS!" His enthusiasm for the Vols was just one of the many things that made him uniquely Johnny.

Above all, Johnny treasured his family. The memories he created with them will be cherished and carried on by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyne J. Maney and Patricia L. Maney.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Cathy Maney; sons, John (Jennifer) Maney and James (Jessica) Maney; brother, Dale (Sandy) Maney; sister, Jerry Callahan; grandchildren, Chelsea, Cody, Payton, Hunter, Wyatt, and Olivia; Leah Beaty and Noah Beaty; along with several other nieces and nephews and extended family who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Southview Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m., with Pastor Rob Works officiating.

John will be laid to rest at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.

His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, in the beauty of the East Tennessee mountains he loved, and in every fall Saturday when someone proudly says, "GO VOLS!"
