John W. “Luckey” Self, 54, a resident of Polk County, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Self; father, John Herman Self; mother, Gladys Goss; brother, Jacky Self; sisters, Shelby Morrow, Marsha Self, and Jeannie Mae Coker.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter, Crystal Self; grandchild, Courtney Anderson; sisters, Arlene Simonds (Jim), Anna Mae Millican, and Marie Cross (Rex); brothers, Herman Self, Charles Self (Rosa), and Johnny Self; special nieces, Jessica Cromer, Alexis Self, and Chasity Self; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.
Visitation is planned for Tuesday May 16, 2017 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW.
A celebration of life service will follow the visitation, starting at 2:00pm in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, with Pastor Guinn Green officiating.
After the service, Luckey will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Copperhill, Tennessee.
