John Walstein Kent

John Walstein Kent,77, of Chattanooga, TN went on to be with the Lord Saturday, April 4, 2026 at his home.

He was born on May 25,1948 in Birmingham, AL, a son of the late Iley and Ima Kent.

John earned his bachelor's degree from Monticello University and pursued a career in retail management. He was a loyal

Crimson Tide fan and an avid golfer. He enjoyed spending time at his second home in the Hilton Head area and was also a Gamecock fan.

He was a devoted father who loved his daughters dearly and spent many hours on soccer fields and boating on Chickamauga Lake with them. He was so proud of their accomplishments and never failed to remind them of his love for them. He dearly loved his new granddaughter and spent much time with her.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Jeffrey Kent and Robert Kent, and daughter, Kristina Kent.

He is survived by his wife, Gina Hall Kent, and three daughters, Blair Allen (Chris), Kathleen Kent (Kolby) and Rebecca Kent (Austin) and granddaughter Jade Roderick.

The family wishes to thank Hearth Hospice for their care.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
