Joel David Lane

Joel David Lane, age 73, of Calhoun, departed this life on Tuesday, September 23, 2020 at Starr Regional Medical Center in Etowah. A native and longtime resident of Montrose, Michigan, Joel moved to Tennessee after retirement from General Motors in 1997. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and loves motorcycles and antique cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James S. and Mary Lane; brother, Bryce Lane; and son Joel R. Lane.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara Fritz Lane; grandchildren, Joseph A Lane and Jackson R. Lane; brothers, Tom (Carol) Lane of Burt, Michigan and Jerry (Gail) Lane of Montrose, Michigan; and several extended family and friends.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
