Joe Kenneth Forester

Joe Kenneth Forester, Sr, 74, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019, at Memorial Hospital In Chattanooga, TN. He was born on August 13, 1944 to the late John G. Forester, Sr and Dorothy Forester. He attended Chattanooga Central High School and was of the Baptist faith. Joe was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, he adored his children and grandchildren. He loved taking trips with his family to Dollywood. He also loved watching Nascar, the Atlanta Braves and the Lady Vols. Joe never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia Forester; parents John G. Forester II and Dorothy Forester; sons Michael Dean and Joe K. Forester, Jr; brothers John G. Forester III and Larry Forester.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter Tammy (Lonnie) Adams; son Kevin (Brenda) Forester; grandchildren Chris Dean, Brittany (Alex) Harbison, Alicia Adams, Nicholas Dean, Didema Higgins and Mackenzie Barksdale; great-grandchildren Ty Dean, Kialea Dean, Dylan and Luke Harbison; sister Charlotte (Bill) Dover, James Forester, Rusty (Terry) Forester; daughter-in-law Nancy Wagner and many other family members.

The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 1-4PM with a celebration of life service to follow at Maple Grove Baptist Church (9525 Birchwood Pike Harrison, TN 37341). Pastor Lloyd Harvill to officiate the service.

In leiu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hwy 58 Volunteer Fire Department food and toy drive (P.O. Box 310 37341).
