Jimmy Watts, 82, passed away peacefully at his residence on August 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Jimmy was a passionate drag racing enthusiast and spent much of his life pursuing his love for the sport. He was a devoted family man, and his warmth and spirit touched all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Watts; his parents, Lewis Watts and Mattie Terry; his son, William (Flint) Watts; and his great-grandson, Gunner Cade Lee.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Gene Watts; his daughter, Susie (Dale) Boston; his sister, Carolyn Graham; brothers Danny Watts, and Charlie Moore; daughter in law Kelly Watts; his cherished grandchildren, Nathan Watts, Cody Watts, Candice (James) Boston, and Matthew (Amber) Boston. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Trevor Hall, Gage Watts, Maks Boston, and Jax Boston, as well as his very special friend, his dog Razor, who brought him much joy and companionship.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Lone Oak Church of God, located at 26 Hall Cemetery Rd, Signal Mountain, TN 37377.
Jimmy's family invites all who knew him to join in remembering a life well lived.
