Mr. Jimmy Alvin Cogdill, age 70, of Madisonville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on June 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on August 7, 1955, in Sweetwater, Tennessee, Jimmy was the son of the late James Cogdill and Katherine Baker Cogdill. He made his home in Madisonville, where he was known as a hardworking, faithful, and family-oriented man.

Outside of work, Jimmy found joy in the simple things in life. He loved playing the guitar, spending time with his family and friends, and was happiest when those he loved were gathered together. A devoted Baptist, Jimmy cherished his faith and found comfort and strength in reading his Bible. His quiet kindness, steady presence, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Elvina Cogdill; his sons, Jason Cogdill and Adam Cogdill; his daughters, Amy Davidson (Ronnie) and Katie Cogdill; his stepson, Donald Goodman, Jr. (Kandice); his grandchildren, Katelyn Streeter (Vince), Piper Cogdill, Abigail Shaddick, Josh Smith, Issac Cogdill, Elijah Cogdill, Clay Cogdill, and A.J.
