Jill Marie Carter

Jill Marie Carter, 40, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at her home. She was born in Cleveland on January 6, 1986. Jill was employed with Wright Brothers Construction Company as an operator. She loved being outdoors, enjoying various activities on the water, and snowboarding. But most important to her was spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Richard & Shirley Carter, maternal grandparents George & Pat King, aunts and uncles Richard & Jessie Brennan and Don & Judy Lowry, great aunt Alice Maddox, and several other aunts and uncles.

Jill leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother Alicia Smyth, her father and stepmother Jeff & Starr Carter, four brothers Kyle Carter (Jenna), Ryan Carter, Bradlee Carter and Justin Rowland (Suzanna), one sister Baylee Carter, two great aunts Debbie Rogers and Barbara Rogers, aunts and uncles Stan King, Barry King and Richie & Brandi King, numerous cousins nieces and nephews, work family and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Ridge Sanctuary of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN. A service celebrating her life will conclude the visitation time at 8:00 PM with the Reverend Jeff Spry officiating.

The interment and committal service will take place on Wednesday morning, September 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the Hiwassee Memorial Gardens in Charleston, TN with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
