Jeremy "Kyle" Farnell, 36, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on August 13, 2026. Born in Austell, Georgia, Kyle lived a life that was anything but ordinary.
To know Kyle was to know someone who loved big. He was a gentle giant with a soft heart, a wild and silly side, and a personality that was hard to forget. He was hardworking, selfless, fiercely loyal, and loved his people with everything he had.
Kyle was a Bible warrior through and through. His faith wasn't born from an easy life; it was built in the middle of a hard one. During some of his loneliest seasons, his Bible and his relationship with God were what he had to hold onto. Because of that, when Kyle spoke about God, he spoke from experience. He used his own struggles to minister to others and became a powerful example of what faith, grace, and perseverance could look like.
Kyle struggled with addiction, but addiction was never the whole of his story. In the final year of his life, he celebrated one year of sobriety, graduated from college, worked hard, grew in his faith, and began living the life he had fought so hard for.
Most importantly, Kyle found home.
He shared his life with his life partner, Sarah Lauderdale, and her two boys, Harlan and Grayson. They gave Kyle the family, purpose, and sense of belonging he had long wanted. He finally had people to come home to, and he cherished them deeply.
Kyle often reminded Sarah that tomorrow isn't promised. He believed you shouldn't leave the house or go to bed angry with someone you love, because you never know when an ordinary goodbye could become the last one. It is a lesson those who loved him will carry forward: say I love you, make things right, and don't waste the time you've been given.
Throughout his life, Kyle touched countless people. He was grateful for the friends and mentors who believed in him, including Tommy Anderson, Rich Kienlen, Keisha Haines and Timmy Haines, and he returned that gift by pouring into others whenever he could.
Kyle was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Farnell, and his brother, Kamryn Edwards. He leaves behind Sarah, Harlan, Grayson, and many friends, mentors, and loved ones who will remember his faith, humor, huge heart, and unforgettable presence.
Kyle's life held hardship and healing, mistakes and victories, laughter, faith, redemption, and finally, family.
He spent years telling others what God could do with an imperfect life.
In the end, perhaps Kyle's own life was one of his greatest sermons.
