Listen to Obituary

Jennifer Marie "Jenn" Newport, 24, passed away on January 5, 2025, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Born on January 17, 2001, in Cleveland, Tennessee, Jennifer brought light into the world from her very first breath.

Jennifer was light given human shape. She greeted those she loved with a joy so full it made her tremble-her laughter and warmth often arriving before she did. Her hugs were healing: the kind that made the world feel softer, the kind that made sorrow pause. She carried kindness in everything she was. You could hear it in her sweet, quiet voice and feel it in the way she listened-not to respond, but to understand.

She loved the earth and all living things, especially animals, tending to them with the same tenderness she gave so freely to people. Her deep compassion extended beyond words; it lived in her actions and presence.

Jennifer was a devoted wife to Kolbi Newport and a remarkable daughter to her father Greg Danley. Though preceded in death by her mother Heather Danley, Jennifer's love for her family remained deep and constant-a steady force like roots holding the world together. She shared close bonds with her sisters Stephanie Danley, Hannah Danley, Brooklyn Danley, and Kaelin Dixon (Jaxon), as well as with her brother Kyler Cavitt (Reese). She also held a special place in her heart for her mother-in-love Angela Brown and her "Granny Katt". Jennifer leaves behind many aunts, uncles, a niece, two nephews, and a multitude of friends.

Jennifer saw beauty everywhere and captured it through photography-knowing that moments are fleeting but memories can be held forever. Because of her eye for wonder and grace, we have images that speak louder than words: glimpses of joy, love, and life preserved through her lens.

Her legacy is one of gentleness and strength-a soul who moved through life with quiet purpose and radiant love. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire kindness in all who carry her spirit forward.

"I think the saddest people always try their hardest to make people happy because they know what it's like to feel absolutely worthless and they don't want anyone else to feel like that."-Robin Williams
