Jennie Brock Morris

Jennie Brock Morris, 91, of Benton, Tennessee passed away Friday, July 10, 2026. Born on August 12, 1934, she was the beloved daughter of John and Edna Green Brock.

The youngest of seven, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Verlie, Grace, Oscar "Bud", Mamie, Glen and Edward Brock. Upon marrying, Jennie and her late husband Taylor Thomas Morris made Cleveland their home, raising two children, Angela (Kirk) Gardner, and Randy (Kalin) Morris.

Gifted with a green thumb, Jennie's yard bloomed with colorful flowers each summer. In winter her attention turned to quilting as she awaited the arrival of spring. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling the country, listening to favorite gospel groups, and cheering the Vols. But Jennie was happiest at home with her family, especially delighting in her three grandchildren: Emily Gardner, Kyle (Candace) Gardner, and Taylor Andrew Morris. In later years Jennie was blessed with great-grandsons Ashton Lafferty and Kohen Gardner.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 3:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Cleveland Chapel with Father Mike Nolan officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at New Friendship Cemetery.
