Jeffrey "Kendall" Paul Barton, 58, of Calhoun, Tennessee, passed away on April 4th, 2026. A resident of the area for over 32 years, Kendall was a veteran of the Navy in the medic division and a skilled welder by trade who took great pride in working with his hands and building things.

Kendall found joy in the simple, meaningful parts of life. He loved animals, especially spending time with his dogs, and treasured every moment with his grandchildren. He took pride in helping friends with different activities. Whether he was outside adventuring, working on cars, or searching for hidden treasures at yard sales and estate sales, he was always dreaming up his next project or learning something new. His curiosity and creativity were part of what made him so special.

He will be remembered for his caring heart, his sense of humor, his spontaneity, his strong-willed nature, child-like personality and crazy but (mostly) true stories. Kendall had a way of making people laugh and feel loved, and he lived life on his own terms. He was unapologetically himself, always on his own time and stood up for what he believed in.

Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory and the many moments they shared with him.

Kendall was preceded in death by his grandparents Marjorie Jane and Paul Sharp, grandfather James Barton, and father Dennis Anderson. Although he never got to meet his father, he found his side of the family in 2019. Him and his father have finally been united.

He leaves behind his wife of almost 32 years, Kristie Meadows Barton. Four children: Brandon (Alex) Barton, Corey Barton, Ashton (Dylan) Thompson, Dylan (Abbie) Barton. Six grandchildren: Eli, Naomi, Emilia, Micheal, Legend and Kason. His mother, Jolayne McFadden. Five siblings: Deborah "Debbie" Anderson, Janelle McFadden, Jodee Bizjack, Jeffery Anderson, and Suzanne Robinson. A niece, Lisa Faulkner, and an aunt and uncle, Jim and Cathy Springer.

A visitation will be held for family and friends on Monday April 13, 2026 from 2:00-6:00 pm at the Ridge Chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2412 Georgetown Rd. NW Cleveland, TN 37311. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm with Jimmy Lewis officiating.
