Nancy Imogene Henderson

Nancy Imogene "Jean" Henderson of Rossville, GA passed away on October 1, 2026 at the age of 79. She was born on December 31, 1946 to Floyd and Pearl Miles. She enjoyed spending time with family, reading her Bible and watching Touched by an Angel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Henderson; son, Wendell "Eddie" Mansel, Jr.; father, Floyd Miles; mother, Pearlene Miles; sister, Janice Sherlin; Granddaughters, Samantha Daughtery and Kayla Mansel; grandson, Tommy Ervin; son-in-law, Buddy Short.

She leaves behind her children, Kelly Short, Darryl (Elaine) Mansel, Tonya Mansel, and step-son, Clyde (Amy) Henderson, Jr.; siblings, Joe "Buddy" (Joann); grandchildren, Robin (Dustin) Ervin, Michael (Amanda) Short, Heather (Pearl) Mansel, Cody Mansel, Brook Mansel, DJ Mansel, Britanie Leigh Quinn, Cory Mansel, Riley Mansel, Kaity Dunn, Austin Dunn, Brittney Gayle Goad, and Brandin Russell; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Daugherty, Shelly Durham, Kelly Durham, Chelsea Durham, Lexi Morgan, Madelyn Morgan, Donavyn Morgan, Jerry Morgan, Abigail (Gage) Howard, Eli Short, Hunter Short, Avie Short, Aerie Short, and Pear Mansel; multiple great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also left behind her favorite niece, Tracy Hensley.

The family will receive friends from 4:00PM until 6:00PM on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Companion Funeral Home - Chattanooga located at 6018 John Douglass Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421. A Celebration of Jean's Life will begin at 6:00PM in the Chapel of Companion Funeral Home at Chattanooga.
