Janie Diane Shaffer

Janie Diane Shaffer, age 68, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026. She was a resident of the area for 30 plus years. She enjoyed singing, spending time with family and friends, and worshiping the Lord. She was an avid sewer, baker, and loved playing cards. She was kind-hearted, caring, loved everyone, and was always smiling.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Deal; her mother, Helen Deal; two sisters, Angel Dalton and Vickie Deeter; and two brothers, Robert Cox Jr. and Ernest Cox.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Dale E. Shaffer, of 43 years; one son, Danny Shaffer; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Amy and Jason Deaver, and Diane and Brent Stewart; one bonus daughter, Lisa Hinkle; one brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Carolyn Deal; two sisters, Debra Young and Janet Deal; two brothers-in-law, Clarence Shaffer and Kenneth Deeter; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
