Janice Kay Geren

Obituary
Janice Kay Geren, 60, of Georgetown, TN passed away on Thursday April 4, 2013 at a Cleveland hospital. She was born on December 13, 1952 to the late James W. Ratcliff and Johnnie M. Ratcliff. Janice was a lifelong resident of Bradley County and has worked 30 years at Bradley County Health Department. She was a 1970 graduate of Cleveland High School and attended Cleveland State Community College. She was of the Baptist faith.
Janice leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Johnnie Ratcliff of Cleveland, the father of her children Marcy Geren of Georgetown, two daughters Meleah Geren and Michelle Anderson, both of Cleveland, sister Deanna Thacker of Ooltewah, TN, six grandchildren, Dakota Geren, Olivia Anderson, Phallyn Anderson, Mathew Ramsey, Trevor Ramsey, and Colton Ramsey, and several nieces, nephews, and a host of other extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday April 8, 2013 from 5:00-7:00pm at Standfield Baptist Church located at 1549 No Pone Road, Georgetown, TN, 37336. A funeral service will follow visitation at the church at 7:00pm with Rev. Eric Geren officiating. Interment will be Tuesday April 9, 2013 at 11:00 am at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Dakota Geren, Mathew Ramsey, Olivia Anderson, Eddie Thacker, Dennis Mahoney, Dylan Chancey, Trevor Ramsey, Tanner Hunt, Justin Baliles, and Travis Petitt will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
