Janet Delaney

Janet Marie Delaney, age 73, of Etowah, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025. She was born on September 3, 1952, in Poplarville, Mississippi, to the late Jesse and Ouida Louise Jarrell.

Janet was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother who will be missed tremendously by her family. She was a funny, quick-witted lady who loved her family fiercely-especially her grandchildren. Janet had a passion for cooking and was known for her wonderful meals. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and dearly loved her four-legged fur babies.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her son, "Big Shane" Delaney.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Angelia (Phillip) Dawsey; grandchildren, "Little Shane" (Heather) Delaney and Christopher (Jayla) Dawsey; great-grandchildren, Lincoln Delaney, Mavis Dawsey, and Landon Dawsey; her brother, Curtis Jarrell; and her cherished four-legged companions, whom she loved dearly.
