Jane Ellen O’Donald

Jane Ellen (Byrd) O'Donald, 90, of Cleveland, Tennessee, peacefully passed away on September 4, 2026.

Jane was born on November 15, 1935, to the late Lawrence "Buddy" Edward and Tressie Cordelia (Nease) Byrd. She was the loving wife of the late James "Jim" Wesley O'Donald, with whom she is now reunited.

Jane never knew a stranger and always greeted the world with a warm smile. She was a dedicated friend to many and a passionate volunteer for numerous organizations throughout her life. Alongside her husband, Jim, Jane was a faithful church member. Until their health declined in later years, they could always be found at church fixing meals, singing, and worshiping with joy.

Her greatest love was her family. She was a devoted mother to Dennis James O'Donald and his wife, Penny, of Ooltewah, Tennessee. Jane also held a deep affection for her two granddaughters, Wesley Victoria O'Donald and Sydney Nicole O'Donald, both of Nashville, Tennessee, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her brother, Willis Lance Byrd, and his wife, Lynda, as well as many other cherished family members and friends.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hearth Hospice, Morning Pointe of Greenbriar Cove, and Garden Plaza of Greenbriar Cove for their exceptional love, care, and guidance over the past few years.

Funeral services will be held at Companion Funeral Home on October 6, 2026. Visitation will take place from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, followed immediately by a memorial service at 4:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
